When my husband and I decided to sell our cafe and coffee roastery I found myself asking what do I want to do next! What do I enjoy? One of the things I enjoy most is hiking in the woods with my dogs. I love helping them to be happier and healthier because they are able to fully enjoy their freedom to explore and be social beings. While living in Vermont I had enlisted the help of a trainer that helped  me to socialize and train my two rescue dogs. She was running a dog camp and teaching others how to do the same. I decided that I would return from my home in Oregon back to Vermont to train with her. Rhonda Bilodeau taught me how to start a camp and how to train dogs to calm themselves so that they can make more balanced decisions. I ran Northwest Dog Camp in Oregon for 6 years while exploring many different training methods. I am lucky to be a part of a wonderful network of people who run dog camps and help families live happy lives with their pets.  I find satisfaction in knowing that my clients can return home at the end of a day knowing their dogs had fun with their friends working on balanced decision making and developing social skills while enjoying the great outdoors. Here in Maine I will be joined by my husband Chris Townsend who will help support the pack.
